Volunteer Flower
Volunteer Flower

As I was working on my pool the other day I noticed that a flower had planted itself in one of the cracks of the stamped concrete. Although I pull any weeds that show up in those spaces, I didn't have the heart to uproot that brave little flower.

Nature persevering against unlikely odds encourages me to keep trying.

I have been actively working on my career as an author for more than 10 years now, with books published and available for 8 years.

There has never been a year in which I have made money. I keep trying though.

I still believe that my books are worthwhile. That there is an audience out there that will benefit from reading them if I can just find that audience.

To that end, I am trying something new in the advertising arena. My books are now advertised on Catholic Owned, a directory of Catholic owned business, and a network of Catholic business owners. https://catholicowned.com/home/home

I'm hoping this is the window to my readers that I have been looking for. I am excited to meet other Catholic business owners at the virtual networking meetings. I hope that the combination of targeted audience and networking finally leads to a profitable year of sales.

One of these efforts is going to root and grow. Just like that brave little flower.
