Memory Lane

While I am still waiting on the copyright for "Blessed in our Brokenness", I decided to tackle a task that I have been putting off.
When I first started writing and publishing my books, I use Microsoft Word and Kindle software for formatting.
Extremely long and frustrating process, and the result was good, not great. I purchased software called "Atticus" in 2022. Oh my! The software is incredible. And they keep improving it. Here is a link if you would like to learn more or purchase a copy: Atticus Software
Honestly, this software saves me dozens of hours on each book. It has been on my list to go back and import my manuscripts for the books I published before I had the software and reissue them. I have finally attacked the last three books that I have not converted. "Unexpected Blessings" is one of them. First published in 2018, I haven't read it through in a long time.
I have found myself crying multiple times as I read it. Not because it is bad, but because it is good.
If you need to immerse yourself in a world where people try hard to be the best versions of themselves, and try hard to be good to others, give this book a try.
I know pride is a dangerous thing, but I am really proud of this book and this story. I am finding little things to correct, hence the red pen and the flags, but nothing at all major. And so far, the formatting is so far superior to the book that I did the old-fashioned hard way.
I am hoping that reading through my older works will help inspire me to get back to work on book 12. That story needs to be told too. Reminding myself that I am good at storytelling will help me tell the next story. I will guard against becoming egotistic, but I did need this reminder that putting stories into the world that show how good things can be when we lead with love and kindness is indeed my calling.
Time to get back to work instead of talking about work. Fingers crossed that copyright comes through soon.
