I didn't establish a new routine yet, but I have had a busy and productive week. Monday was the storm day, and did not go as planned. But I did get to the post office, and the grocery store, and bake a quiche for dinner.

Tuesday included a walk, a workout, lots of laundry to get caught up, a couple of hours at GiGi's getting some of my backlog out of the way, and writing a few pages in my work in progress.

Wednesday I did a massive yard and lawn clean up. I still have some weeds to pull, but the yard is ready to entertain people without embarrassment. I also did a Costco run. And tutoring.

Thursday, walk, lunch with a group of friends, tutoring, and shopping for poolside chairs and guest linens.

Friday, deep cleaned the Katrina cottage in preparation for company, and volunteer appreciation luncheon with the Jefferson Parish Senior and Retired Volunteer Program, where I recruited for GiGi's.

All in all, a very good start. I'll have company for a few days, so the routine is still waiting to be established, but I have more confidence that I can do it.

There were many moments this week when I did not want to execute my task list. Where I didn't want to do what needed to be done, but I was able to force myself. And that helped me to remember how good it feels to accomplish things, especially things you would rather not do.

It is still, and will always be, one day at a time. This string of good days has been just what I needed to keep on trying to find that new normal.
