Baby Steps

I ordered author copies of all of my books so that I could use them in advertising and on my business cards. When they arrived, I was once again reminded why it is important to take one step at a time. Instead of the book looking like the picture immediately below, scroll down and see what it looked like.

This was a previous generation cover. I had redone the cover in Kindle Direct Publishing, but the change was pending, and I didn't notice until I got the author copy yesterday. So this morning, I submitted the new cover for publication, and now I will order another author copy with the revised cover.

All the delays that frustrate me have a purpose. Slow and steady will get me where I want to be without the disappointments that hurrying the process will inevitably cause.

Everything happens in its own time. I need to keep reminding myself of that, and take pride in slow and steady progress.
